Each Member State is represented with a quote from an outstanding personality on a \"Panel of Nations\". Together they form a bond of shared values, visions and the diversity of cultures of the European Community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The panels are arranged according to the order of their membership.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The PATH OF VISIONARIES - a permanent sign for peace and internationality.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>UNESCO, the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization, shows its attachment to the project with its own contribution to the PATH OF VISIONARIES, in the form of a floor plaque.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>\u201cSince wars begin in the minds of men,<br>it is in the minds of men that the defences of peace must be constructed.\u201d<\/strong><br>(First sentence from the CONSTITUTION of UNESCO and official quotation contribution of UNESCO to Der Mehringplatz, ehemals Belle-Alliance-Platz, bildete zusammen mit dem Halleschen Tor das s\u00fcdliche Stadttor im friederizianischen Berlin.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Der Belle-Alliance-Platz erhielt seinen Namen in Folge der Freiheitskriege und unterstrich auf besondere Weise das Streben der europ\u00e4ischen Nationen nach Souver\u00e4nit\u00e4t. Bis heute \u00fcberragt die 19m hohe Brunnenskulptur des &#8222;Friedensengels&#8220; den Platz.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Der Engel als Friedensg\u00f6ttin Irene und Siegesg\u00f6ttin Viktoria zugleich, stand f\u00fcr eine Idee von Frieden des 19. Jahrhunderts, dass Frieden und Krieg sich einander bedingen w\u00fcrden. Der PFAD DER VISION\u00c4RE (m\/w\/d) setzt eine zeitgem\u00e4\u00dfe moderne Interpretation: Frieden als handeln im Dialog, in Anerkennung und Respekt gegen\u00fcber der Vielf\u00e4ltigkeit der Kulturen.
