Die europ\u00e4ische Politik wird sowieso nur von Lobbyisten bestimmt! Ist das so?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Wussten Sie, dass Lobbyist*innen zwar Einfluss nehmen, dieser aber nicht unkontrolliert oder allm\u00e4chtig ist? Lobbyist*innen spielen eine wichtige Rolle in der EU. Sie vertreten die Interessen verschiedener Gruppen, wie Unternehmen, Verb\u00e4nde, NGOs oder andere Organisationen, und versuchen, Einfluss auf Gesetzgebungsprozesse zu nehmen. Das ist grunds\u00e4tzlich ein normaler Bestandteil demokratischer Prozesse, um unterschiedliche Perspektiven in die Entscheidungsfindung einzubringen. Die gew\u00e4hlten Vertreter*innen der EU-Institutionen, wie das Europ\u00e4ische Parlament, die Kommission und der Rat, treffen aber letztlich die Entscheidungen. Sie sind an Kontrollmechanismen, demokratische Prozesse gebunden und m\u00fcssen verschiedene Interessen abw\u00e4gen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Finnland trat der EU am 1. Januar 1995 bei \u2013 zusammen mit Schweden und \u00d6sterreich.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Wussten Sie, dass Finnland \u00fcber 180\u202f000 Seen \u2013 und fast genauso viele Saunen hat? In Helsinki gibt es eine \u00f6ffentliche Bibliothek mit 3D-Druckern, K\u00fcchen und Musikstudios. Au\u00dferdem ist Finnland laut Studien eines der gl\u00fccklichsten L\u00e4nder der Welt \u2013 trotz (oder wegen) der langen Winter.
Mit EU-Geldern wurde ein Rentier-Tracking-System entwickelt \u2013 heute k\u00f6nnen Tourist*innen ihre Lieblingsrentierherde per App verfolgen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Was verbindet uns?<\/strong>
Finnland und Deutschland arbeiten in der EU eng zusammen \u2013 etwa bei Bildung, Umwelt, Digitalisierung und Cybersicherheit. Viele Berliner*innen zieht es zum Studieren oder Reisen in den Norden. Auch kulturell gibt es zahlreiche Verbindungen, von Design bis Heavy Metal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Europa steht aktuell vor gro\u00dfen Herausforderungen. ZUSAMMEN k\u00f6nnen wir die Herausforderungen BESSER bestehen\u2013 gemeinsam k\u00f6nnen wir mehr bewegen! Mischen Sie sich ein und sprechen Sie zum Beispiel Ihre EU-Beauftragten in den Bezirks\u00e4mtern an.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

European politics is controlled by lobbyists anyway! Is that true?
<\/strong>Did you know that while lobbyists do exert influence<\/strong>, it is neither uncontrolled nor all-powerful? Lobbyists play an important role in the EU: they represent the interests of different groups \u2013 companies, associations, NGOs and other organizations \u2013 and try to shape legislation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This is a normal part of democratic processes<\/strong>, bringing diverse perspectives into decision-making. Ultimately, however, decisions are made by elected EU representatives<\/strong> in institutions such as the European Parliament, the Commission and the Council<\/strong>. These are bound by democratic processes and oversight mechanisms, and must balance many different interests.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Did you know that Finland has over 180,000 lakes and almost as many saunas<\/strong>? In Helsinki, there is a public library with 3D printers, kitchens and music studios. According to studies, Finland is one of the happiest countries in the world<\/strong> \u2013 perhaps because of, not despite, its long winters.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With EU funding, a reindeer tracking system<\/strong> was developed \u2013 today tourists can follow their favorite reindeer herd via app.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What connects us?<\/strong>
Finland and Germany cooperate closely within the EU \u2013 for example in education, environment, digitalization and cybersecurity<\/strong>. Many Berliners travel or study in the North. Culturally, there are many links too \u2013 from design to heavy metal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
