Since 14 May 2022, the PATH OF VISIONARIES – SIGNS FOR EUROPE has been open to the public and can be visited around the clock, 24 hours a day in the pedestrian zone of Berlin's Friedrichstraße.
Saturday, May 14th in 2022 Samstag, den 14. Mai 2022 The Inauguration of the PATH OF VISIONARIES - SIGNS FOR EUROPE and the new Mehringplatz in the pedestrian zone of Berlin's Friedrichstraße with a fitting STREET FESTIVAL and a EUROPEAN RECEPTION. At the same time, the redesign of the nearby Mehringplatz and the pedestrian zone was opened.

August 2020: Start of production of the `Panels of Nations` by the sculptor Rainer Fest.
February 2020: Signing of the contract for the construction of the permanent installation PATH OF VISIONARIES - SIGN FOR EUROPE between the association KUNSTWELT e.V. BERLIN represented by the chairwoman Ms. RA Kristijana Penava and the Land of Berlin represented by the district office-Friedrichshain Kreuzberg, Mr. Baustadtrat Florian Schmidt.
2018: after years of contruction works of the BVG (Berliner Verkehrsbetriebe)the redesign of the Mehringplatz and the pedestrian zone of Friedrichstrasse startet.
September 23, 2013: On the occasion of the handover of the official quotation contribution for the Kingdom of Thailand On the occasion of handing over the official quotation contribution for the Kingdom of Thailand, the Thai poet and philosopher Naowarat Pongpaiboon visited the PATH OF VISIONARIES OF THE WORLD. Mr. Pongpaiboon was accompanied by Her Excellence the Ambassador Mrs. Nongnuth Phetcharatana, as well as other members of the embassy, and Mrs. Phiranai Chotikanta, Director of the Cultural Networking Cooperation Group from the Thai Ministry of Culture in Bangkok.
November 5, 2012: Die Botschafterin JamaikasThe ambassador of Jamaica, H. E. Ms Joy Elfreda Wheeler, and Ms Claudia Grotz visited Kunstwelt. The purpose of the meeting was to show Ms Wheeler the progress of the project PATH OF VISIONARIES and discuss different versions of the German translation of the Bob Marley quotation.
October 19, 2012: Die Botschafterin der Republik der Philippinen, I. E. Maria Cleofe Natividad, gab anlässlich des Besuches einer philippinischen Parlamentsdelegation unter der Leitung von Frau Henedina Abad, der Vorsitzenden des Ausschusses für Kultur und Bildung, einen Empfang beim PFAD DER VISIONÄRE.
A replica of the Philippine plaque was unveiled, which has found a fitting place in the reception area of the embassy building.
24th of September 2012:: José Ramos-Horta, der Friedensnobelpreisträger und ehemalige Präsident von Timor Leste (Osttimor) informierte sich über das internationale Stadtkunstprojekt und brachte die Teilnahme seines Landes auf den Weg.
June 23rd 2011:: Die Generaldirektorin der UNESCO, Frau Irina Bokowa, hat am Standort des KUNSTWELT e.V. BERLIN in der Friedrichstraße 1, die Tafel der UNESCO für den PFAD DER VISIONÄRE DER WELT persönlich enthüllt. Das Stadtkunstprojekt stand für die die erlaubten 2´zwei Jahre unter der Schirmherrschaft von Frau Bokowa.
In 2006, 2007 and 2008 veranstaltete der Trägerverein KUNSTWELT e.V. BERLIN unter der Schirmherrschaft des damaligen Regierenden Bürgermeisters Klaus Wowereit für den PFAD DER VISIONÄRE – ZEICHEN FÜR EUROPA, das EUROPAFESTIVAL BERLIN entlang der südlichen Friedrichstraße, wie auf dem Mehringplatz.
Das EUROPAFESTIVAL-BERLIN wurde in Kooperation mit der Vertretung der Europäischen Kommission in Deutschland, den Botschaften der EU-Mitgliedstaaten und der KMA Antenne Berlin realisiert. Wir danken ganz herzlich allen Unterstützern, den Partnern und vielen Helfern.
Im Mai 2006 wurde unter der Schirmherrschaft von Jean-Claude Juncker, ehemaliger EU-Kommissionspräsident und Viviane Reding, ehemaliges Mitglied der Europäischen Kommission zuständig für das Ressort Justiz, Grundrechte und Bürgerschaft, bereits der PFAD DER VISIONÄRE als temporäre Installation in Zusammenarbeit mit allen EU-Mitgliedstaaten in Form von 1,2qm großen Bodentafeln in der Fußgängerzone der Berliner Friedrichstraße eröffnet.
The PATH OF VISIONARIES aims at setting a sign for the common values of the different cultures. For each EU-Member State, it displays a quotation from an outstanding personality from the corresponding country. The quotations are elected by a prominent Jury among the propositions suggested by the embassy of each participating state.
